This position is for a Business Development professional responsible for launching and driving decarbonization initiatives in agricultural land.
You will report directly to the Head of the Agri-Innovation Division and be involved in the project from concept to execution, with significant autonomy and impact.
Although these projects originate in Japan, they are designed with future global expansion in mind.

#About the Role
We are looking for a Business Development professional to join our Agri-Innovation Division, leading Japan-origin decarbonization projects. Reporting directly to the Head of Division, you will have significant autonomy to shape new initiatives and help bring them to global markets.

#Key Responsibilities
Conduct market research domestically and internationally (interviews with clients and stakeholders, field visits)
Plan, manage, and execute decarbonization projects
Prepare proposals, presentations, and white papers
Coordinate closely with R&D and engineering teams internally
Handle reporting, operations management, and related administrative tasks
Promote projects through talks, presentations, and public outreach
Support subsidy and grant applications (information gathering, coordination with grant offices, document preparation and submission)

#Other tasks as assigned
Note: Domestic and international travel may be required (typically a few times a year, up to 10 times depending on the project).

#About the Agri-Innovation Division
Our division leverages cutting-edge satellite data and soil chemical analysis to support sustainable and regenerative agriculture. Key initiatives include:
Reducing GHG emissions and developing carbon credit projects
Promoting decarbonization through the use of agricultural materials
Providing actionable data and insights for farmers and local governments
The division is a small, elite team of 6, including the Head of Division, Deputy Head, and team members, allowing for a high degree of autonomy and direct impact on projects.

Required Experience
Candidates must have experience in at least one of the following:
Project management
Corporate sales / business development
Consulting experience with client-facing work

Language skills:
Business-level English (spoken and written)
Business-level Japanese

Strong leadership and collaboration skills to drive projects with internal and external stakeholders
Experience in the agricultural sector
