TIER IVは、オープンソースの自律走行ソフトウェアであるAutowareの開発・運用を行い、自律走行に関連する幅広いアプリケーション、ソリューション、サービスを提供しています。

Perceptionエンジニアは、Lv4 自動運転において最も重要な機能の1つである、車両に搭載したセンサを利用しての自車両の周囲に存在する交通参加者・静止物の認識を行う技術の開発が主な責務となります。

開発・評価・ベンチマーク等を通して、Perceptionの専門的知識の蓄積と現実課題への対応を行い、これら技術を社内/社外で利用可能な形で成果をオープンにすることで自動運転開発の加速を目指しています。

【仕事内容】

• 自律運転向けセンサーシステムの設計、実装（センサーコンフィグレーション、キャリブレーション、同期、ノイズ除去等）
• 自律運転向け認識システムの設計、ROS 2/C++での実装（detection, segmentation, tracking, prediction等）
• 機械学習基盤/評価基盤への機能実装、テストコードの実装、学習評価用データセットの構築
• OSSへの自律走行技術の貢献

TIER IV uses Autoware, a widely used open source autonomous driving software stack, to provide a wide range of applications, solutions and services related to autonomous driving.

Autonomous Driving Perception Engineers develop autonomous driving systems that can be deployed in various situations. Applicants will be favorably looked upon if they have a graduate degree in a related subject, strong software engineering skills, and demonstrated experience in the fields of autonomous vehicles or robotics. 

Perception Engineers will:

• Design implementation and test of sensor systems for autonomous driving (sensor configuration, calibration, synchronization, noise reduction, etc.)
• Design implementation and test perception systems for autonomous driving (detection, segmentation, tracking, prediction, etc.)
• Implementation of functions for machine learning platforms/evaluation platforms, implementation of test code, and construction of datasets for learning evaluation
• Contribute autonomous driving technology to OSS

1：自律運転の認識技術において、以下のうち1つ以上に精通していること。

• Camera, LiDAR, RADARのセンシング、フィルタリング、キャリブレーションおよびセンサーフュージョン
• 物体検出、物体追跡、将来軌跡予測
• 交通シーンの認識技術のための深層学習の理論と実装 (cuda/c++ベース）
• 確率状態推定、確率推論、最適化技術
• 認識性能のパフォーマンス/障害解析

2：以下開発に必要ないずれかの技術に精通していること。

• C++
• Python
• ROS 2（ROS）
• Linux
• TensorRT / CUDA

3：言語能力:

• 日本語/英語でのコミュニケーションスキル

1： In the application domain of autonomous driving or robotics, you should be familiar with one or more of the following:

• Camera, LiDAR or RADAR sensing, filtering, processing, calibration and sensor fusion
• Object detection, multi-object tracking, behavior prediction
• Deep learning theory & methods for perception of traffic scenes
• Stochastic state estimation, probabilistic reasoning, optimisation techniques
• Perception performance/fault analysis, operational design domains

2: Proficiency in one or more of the following development-related technologies:

• C++
• Python
• ROS 2 (ROS)
• Linux
• TensorRT / CUDA

3： Language proficiency:

• Engineering teams work primarily in Japanese language environment, although non Japanese speaking candidates with strong engineering experience will be considered   
• Bilingual (Japanese-Engliish) ability is valued for collaboration with global partners
