About mond

mond is a creator-first membership and subscription platform with 16M MAUs mainly in Japan that empowers creators to build sustainable businesses through direct relationships with their audiences. We provide the tools creators need to monetize their work, grow their communities, and achieve creative and financial independence.

As we expand into the US market, we are looking for a founding Head of Growth to define and execute the strategy that will establish mond as the go-to platform for creators in the world’s largest creator economy.

The Role

As our inaugural Head of Growth in the US, you will own the full growth strategy and execution—from acquiring creators and their audiences to driving activation, engagement, and retention. You will work directly with the CEO to build the growth function from the ground up, combining product-led growth with strategic marketing to scale mond’s presence in the US market.

This is a rare opportunity to shape a growth organization at a critical inflection point, with the autonomy to define strategy and the resources to execute it.

Responsibilities

Growth Strategy & Execution

  • Define and own the end-to-end growth strategy for mond’s US expansion, spanning creator acquisition, audience growth, activation, and retention
  • Build and iterate on mond’s growth model: deeply understand where growth is coming from, identify the biggest opportunities, and communicate the story across the company
  • Establish growth goals, KPIs, and milestones in close partnership with executive leadership

Creator Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Develop and execute strategies to attract high-quality creators to mond, including outreach, partnerships, community building, and referral programs
  • Design and optimize the creator onboarding experience to minimize drop-off and maximize time-to-value
  • Build relationships with key creators and influencers to drive platform credibility and network effects

User Acquisition & Funnel Optimization

  • Drive audience-side growth through product-led strategies, SEO, content marketing, paid acquisition, and strategic partnerships
  • Optimize every stage of the conversion funnel: from discovery to sign-up, activation, subscription, and retention
  • Identify and execute growth marketing opportunities across acquisition, activation, and retention channels

Product-Led Growth & Experimentation

  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to identify and ship features that drive organic growth
  • Lead a culture of experimentation: build and maintain an experiment pipeline, design A/B tests, and drive data-informed decision-making
  • Act as the steward of mond’s experimentation process, developing measurement frameworks and helping teams across the company test and learn effectively

Team Building & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Build and lead the US growth team from scratch, hiring high-performing individual contributors across growth marketing, analytics, and operations
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Design, Data, and Marketing to align growth initiatives with company strategy
  • Serve as a bridge between the US market and the global team, ensuring insights and learnings flow in both directions

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in growth, growth marketing, or product-led growth roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position
  • Proven track record of scaling a consumer or creator platform in the US market
  • Deep expertise across the full growth funnel: acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization
  • Strong analytical skills with fluency in SQL and experience with analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel, Looker)
  • Mastery of growth frameworks including cohort analysis, growth accounting, and experimentation design
  • Experience building and managing high-performing teams from scratch
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and executive leadership
  • Scrappy, hands-on mindset—comfortable operating with limited resources and building from zero

  • Experience launching or scaling a product in a new market
  • Familiarity with two-sided marketplace dynamics (creator supply + audience demand)
  • Experience with international products expanding into the US
  • Understanding of the creator economy landscape and creator motivations
