【About the Team】 At LabBase, our purpose（パーパス）is「研究の力を、人類の力に」- transforming the power of research into the power of humanity. The Product Discovery Team is responsible for everything from discovering new opportunities to delivering tools that accelerate the pace of research and make it more accessible to the world. Research is a field that is slow to change - our goal is to develop new products that accelerate research and inspire the next generation of researchers. Design plays a critical role in this team. To make our products accessible to all researchers, they must be innovative, rich in functionality, capable of complex tasks, yet simple to learn and use. We're looking for a Product Designer who will help us with this mission. As an early member of this team, you'll take a major role in shaping our design culture and influencing the product direction. 【About This Role】 In this role, you'll work in a small cross-functional team - collaborating closely with engineers and product managers - to discover and design new experiences for researchers. You'll be responsible for visual and UX design, helping shape the future of research together with the team. This position is based in our Tokyo office. We operate in a hybrid work style but ask that you live within commuting distance. 【What You'll Do】 - Design UI/UX for our products. - Develop a design system that will be used across all of our products. - Conduct UX research to understand user needs. - Collaborate closely with engineers and product managers. - Help foster a strong design culture and support the team's growth. 【To Succeed in This Position You'll Need To】 - Have an interest in shaping the future of research - Desire to work in a fast-moving, cross-functional team - Enjoy thinking about and solving complex UX challenges - Have strong communication and storytelling skills
