As an Autonomous Driving - System Engineer, you will be responsible for defining and updating the requirements and architecture of our self-driving vehicles. You will collaborate broadly and cross-functionally with our development teams to make tradeoffs between cost, quality,
power consumption, performance, capability, and scalability while minimizing system complexity.
・Develop system and functional requirements through the analysis of customer needs and regulation, and allocate functional requirements to relevant components including Autoware.
・Define optimal architecture including the definition of interfaces among components through the mediation between system requirements and core autonomous driving technologies.
・Act as a hub among our development teams, make tradeoffs between cost, quality, power consumption, performance, capability, and scalability while minimizing system complexity.
・Manage and share all system-level work products such as system requirements and architecture with relevant teams including software and hardware development teams as well as field application teams.
・Perform safety and fault analyses to develop robust solutions to meet product and safety goals and, whenever necessary, to ensure mitigations are in place for safe operations.
