You will create worlds that bring together game design, visual arts, and narrative.

The ideal candidate for this role possesses a consistent vision for Level Design, and takes an active role in the game development as well as in the studio.

We are looking for a Senior Level Designer who not only has a strong spirt of cooperation and excellent communication skills, but also contributes bright innovative ideas to our project.

Responsibilities
Design levels from paper to pitch to production

Build grey-box levels and populate the world with NPCs, enemies, and interactable elements

Detail levels as necessary to establish visual themes

Design and implement enemy encounters, events, missions, and narrative beats

Polish level content to the highest quality and performance

Mentor colleagues by communicating creative feedback and best practices

Skills & Requirements
8+ years of professional game development experience as a Level Designer

Strong grasp of scale and composition shown in level blockouts

Deep understanding using shapes to push and pull players around the world

Able to create unique layouts and architecture to sell the team their ideas

Accustomed with working with multiple departments and maintaining high level of team-work

Experience with Unreal Engine, Unity, or other engines

Experience in full production cycles of 1 or more shipped console/PC titles

Portfolio demonstrating past works relevant to game development

English speaking and writing skills (Japanese is a plus)

Has experience in designing game mechanics, missions, and other elements related to design

Knowledge of modeling tools such as Maya

Knowledge of scripting languages, visual or text-based
