# Recruitment Background Sagri is advancing to the next step in its business journey. To support our business expansion, we are strengthening our Engineering team and are seeking a Senior Research Scientist who can leverage their technical skills and creativity to tackle diverse and impactful challenges without being restricted by specific roles. # Mission of the Position ◆Collaborate with overseas teams to develop models necessary for carbon credits and MRV. ◆Mentor and nurture research scientist, fostering the next-generation senior research scientist. # Job Description The role involves developing and calibrating process-based models to evaluate soil carbon sequestration and greenhouse gas emissions in developing countries for the purposes of carbon credits and MRV. Publishing peer-reviewed papers is also one of the integral parts of the job. As a mentor, you will guide research scientists and data scientists in their research and development projects. ◆Specific Job Responsibilities ・Collaborate with research scientists and data scientists to develop and publish process-based models and machine learning models that contribute to estimate soil carbon sequestration and GHG emissions. ・Design new PoC projects in collaboration with the CRO. ◆Sagri's Development Environment We already have multiple products with significant growth potential, and the scope of development themes is broad. ◆Required Experience/Skills ・Ability to simulate soil carbon sequestration and greenhouse gas emissions. ・Proven track record in research using mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, and machine learning. ・Proficiency in English (communication with the overseas business division and reviewing/writing academic papers are part of the job).

◆Preferred Experience/Skills ・Ph.D. degree
