\*This position is employed by Money Forward, Inc. and seconded to Money Forward X Co., Ltd. with evaluation systems and benefits aligned with Money Forward. ## Job Summary We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Lead Engineer to drive the automation strategy and lead a small, high-performing QA team for our fintech products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, proven experience in automating testing processes, and excellent leadership skills to guide the team in delivering secure, high-quality financial software. A high sense awareness and attention to detail are essential to ensure the reliability, compliance, and safety of our systems and data. ## Key Responsibilities * Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web, API, and backend systems. * Collaborate with developers and product managers to ensure testability of requirements and high coverage across features. * Participate in defining and improving QA processes and automation frameworks. * Maintain and enhance existing automated test suites to ensure stability and scalability. * Perform manual testing when required, particularly for exploratory or edge cases. * Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring issues are resolved effectively. * Contribute to maintaining secure testing practices, especially in handling sensitive financial data. * Stay updated with emerging tools and technologies in QA automation. ## Required Qualifications * Proven experience as a lead QA engineer or QA automation lead. * Minimum 3 years of experience leading a small QA team (3–5 members). * Minimum 5 years of professional QA experience. * Demonstrated success in automating testing processes for web, API, or software products and relevant experience in manual testing as well. * Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Postman, Playwright, Selenium, or equivalent. * Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing techniques, and software development life cycle. * Ability to create and review test metrics for web, mobile, API, or software products. * Experience in CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build processes. * Knowledge of cloud environments, microservices, or SaaS platforms. * Experience working in agile development environments. * Business-level English communication skills, both written and verbal. ## Good to have * Japanese communication skills (business or conversational level). * Experience working on fintech or banking products * Experience in AI development and/or experience in using AI tools to improve development processes. * Money Forward recently announced our AI Strategy roadmap which focuses on improving AI-driven operational efficiencies, as well as integrating AI agents into our products to deliver better value to our users.
