About Dr.Zero
Dr.Zero is not a dashboard.
It is not just a reporting tool.
It is an AI-powered autonomous operating system for corporate decarbonization.
Dr.Zero ingests messy enterprise data (PDFs, invoices, ERP exports, IoT streams), validates it with ML, enables natural language analysis, simulates reduction scenarios, monitors real-time performance, and identifies cleantech innovations.
The system consists of six autonomous modules:
INGEST – OCR + intelligent document processing for structured extraction
VALIDATE – AI-driven anomaly detection and data quality scoring
SYNTHESIS – Natural language queries + multi-framework ESG reporting
ARCHITECT – MACC analysis, NPV optimization, decarbonization roadmaps
SENTINEL – Real-time dashboards and intelligent alerting
UPGRADE – AI-based cleantech discovery and implementation proposals
All modules are orchestrated by an Agentic Workflow Engine with human-in-the-loop approvals and conversational AI interfaces.
This is enterprise-grade, AI-native infrastructure for Japan’s largest companies.

Every feature you ship directly influences real-world emission reduction decisions.
You will build systems that affect whether factories adopt hydrogen furnaces, fleets electrify, or supply chains uncover hidden Scope 3 emissions.
This is planetary infrastructure — not engagement metrics.
Responsibilities
As a founding engineer on Dr.Zero, you will work across the full stack and take ownership end-to-end.
Examples of ownership include:
Designing event-driven communication between microservices
Building OCR-to-structured-data pipelines for Japanese invoices
Architecting natural language query engines over carbon datasets (RAG)
Implementing scenario simulation engines (MACC, NPV optimization)
Developing real-time anomaly detection and alerting systems
Designing Terraform modules and Kubernetes manifests
Shipping an embeddable Agentic SDK for other Zeroboard products
Building multi-step workflow engines with compliance-grade audit trails
We are a small team. There are no strict boundaries.
You will shape architecture decisions that define the product.

・Experience building and shipping production-grade systems
・Strong backend development skills (Python preferred, but transferable from Java/Go/TypeScript)
・Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React/Next.js)
・Familiarity with cloud-native architecture (containers, managed DBs, CI/CD)
・Ability to work across the stack and solve problems end-to-end
・Strong written and verbal communication skills
・Self-driven mindset in small, high-ownership teams
