As we expand our footprint across international markets, including the US and India, we are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of User Experience to lead our design efforts in Japan.

The role:
We are looking for a self-motivated and strategic UX leader with exceptional design, communication, and people management skills to lead the user experience that empowers neighbors and businesses to build stronger communities transforming how people connect and engage with community experiences created by Poocha.
You'll be responsible for the digital experiences across growth, engagement, and revenue for our entire product portfolio. In this role, you'll define and deliver new experiences across live streaming platforms as well as work cross-functionally to shape the future of Pococha as we continue to grow.
You will report to the Head of Global Design, based in the US as a functional manager.

Responsibilities:
・Manage, build, mentor, and inspire a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Product Designers, Visual Designers, Content Strategists (UX Writers), and UX Researchers, providing directions and pushing the quality of work.
・Influence product strategy and lead your team in executing design work with a high level of polish, and demonstrate the ability to address diverse product challenges, spanning Mobile, Web, E-mail, Offline & more.
・Define the design processes, workflows, and frameworks and implement them to increase efficiency and produce business results.
・Build relationships with cross-functional team members and executives and effectively speak to process, UX goals and team vision.
・Stay up-to-date with industry trends not limited to Design, fostering a user-centric and data-driven mindset
・Paint a long-term vision for the company's direction and strategically employ diverse research and testing methods in the design process. You find inspiration in data and embrace the concept of North Star metrics.

Minimum Qualifications:
・An online portfolio showcasing examples of the work your team produced illustrating the deep understanding and application of UX principles, research insights, and design trends.
・10+ years of experience in User Experience design.
・Minimum of 3 years of experience managing UX managers who oversee areas including Interaction Design, Visual Design, UX research, and UX writing.
・Direct experience in motion graphics and/ or game UI/UX design within the entertainment or gaming industry or proven experience in managing individuals with such expertise.
・Strong recruitment and performance management skills.
・Experience in decision-making driven by data, with a strong emphasis on drawing inspiration from North Star Metrics.
・Experience designing consumer-facing software or apps that serve millions of users on multiple platforms.
・Established track record of effectively balancing ambiguity, fast iterative sprints, business acumen, technology, and organizational agility.
・Ability to lead a team to conduct research, analyze data insights, and maintain a high standard of design quality to deliver exceptional products.
・An insatiable appetite for learning and unlearning and understanding global neighborhoods as we expand our footprint.
