9000_Operations Assistant – Automotive Startup (Hawthorne, CA)

◾️Job Post Summary Date posted: August 20, 2026 Pay: $21.00–$25.00 per hour ◾️Job Description This position is employed by Turing US, Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Turing Inc. (Japan). Although this job posting may appear under Turing Inc.'s Indeed employer account, the successful candidate will be employed by Turing US, Inc. in California. ◾️About Us Turing is a Tokyo-based autonomous driving AI company. We are opening our first U.S. site in Hawthorne and hiring our first U.S. team member. You will help keep our South Bay operations running and build our processes from day one, working directly with our Japan-based team. ◾️What You'll Do -Receive and inspect deliveries of vehicles, parts, and equipment, and document them with photos -Pick up parts, tools, and supplies locally using a company vehicle (company card provided) -Drive and transport company vehicles locally to dealerships, vendors, the DMV, and other locations as needed -Set up and maintain our warehouse/office space, including organization, light cleaning, and layout -Handle administrative tasks, including mail, scanning, filing, DMV and city forms, and vendor account setup -Write simple checklists and how-to documents (SOPs) as you help build our site processes -Send a short daily photo report and task updates via Slack/Notion to the Japan-based team -Support visiting engineers and executives from Japan (approximately 10 days per month)

◾️What We're Looking For -Valid California driver's license, at least 3 years of driving experience, and a clean driving record (an MVR check is required; must meet the requirements of our commercial auto insurance policy) -Comfortable working independently on-site with remote supervision Organized, reliable, and able to communicate clearly in English -Basic computer skills, including email, spreadsheets, and handling photos; experience with Slack/Notion is a plus -Able to lift up to 40 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation -Authorized to work in the U.S. (we are unable to sponsor visas for this role)

◾️Nice to Have -Experience in automotive operations (parts, dealerships, or shops), warehouse operations, facilities, or logistics -Startup or small-team experience -Japanese language skills (a plus, but not required)
