5006_TIER IV Student Researcher

This program aims to financially support the research activities of master’s and doctoral students who share TIER IV’s vision "The Art of Open Source, Reimagine Intelligent Vehicles” and to create an opportunity where talented students can immerse themselves in research, enhance their research capabilities, and produce results that contribute to the future of the autonomous driving industry. As well as financial support, academic advice and evaluation data sets can be provided by the researchers and engineers affiliated with TIER IV to support the publication of research results. We also encourage open-source publication of the research results, and expect selected research projects to contribute to the R&D of Autoware ( https://www.autoware.org/projects ). Example areas of research include: --- Hardware acceleration, many-core, ASIC/SoC, System software, containers, virtual machines, real-time systems, embedded systems, position estimation, map generation, traffic scene recognition, intention aware planning [Periodic research report] For successful candidates, reporting on research progress is held every three months (If it is clear that the research cannot be continued, or if there is a significant problem with the progress of the research and the research results cannot be achieved, the Tier IV Student Research Fellowship may be disqualified and the agreement terminated.) ・Based on the progress of research and requests for consultation, about once a month, we will set up a forum for discussion aimed at improving research content.
