[ ABOUT TENCHIJIN ]
Tenchijin Inc. is a Tokyo-headquartered space-tech company and JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) certified venture. Through its core land-evaluation and analytics platform, Tenchijin COMPASS, the company fuses earth-observation satellite data, geospatial and environmental layers, IoT and ground-sensor feeds, and clients' operational data with proprietary AI to deliver multimodal analytics across diverse sectors. Tenchijin’s flagship GEO intelligence capabilities empower enterprise and government operators to optimize asset management, evaluate environmental risks, and drive data-driven decision-making across energy grid systems, agricultural land management, defense and national security operations, and municipal utilities.
[ ABOUT THE PROJECT ]
The Global South Project is an 18-month initiative (Oct 01, 2026 – Mar 31, 2028) to design, build, and deploy a scalable, secure, AI-ready analytics platform tailored to critical infrastructure, intelligence, and resource management operators across Global South markets. The project adapts Tenchijin's satellite-data and GeoAI capabilities to regions facing rapidly expanding or vulnerable infrastructure, resource volatility, and data scarcity. The initiative delivers advanced risk assessment and spatial decision-support tools that redefine operational workflows. All positions are contract-based and fully remote, operating as one unified, cross-border distributed team.
[ ROLE SUMMARY ]
As the Senior Technical Business Analyst, you will serve as the definitive intellectual bridge aligning complex customer requirements, market intelligence, and product delivery across a multi-vertical GEO intelligence platform. You will own the systematic synchronization between Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) across energy, agriculture, defense, and utility sectors.
Leveraging a deep background in advanced technologies (GeoAI, remote sensing, cloud architecture) and multi-domain insight, you will translate cross-industry market indicators into clear product definitions and developer-ready Agile backlog specifications—minimizing structural gaps between international field operations and core engineering blueprints.

English (professional working proficiency or higher required)
[ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ]
- Cross-Sector Requirements Synchronization: Own the full translation lifecycle—converting complex client workflows across energy, agriculture, defense, and utility sectors into high-precision PRDs, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications.
- Multi-Domain Market Intelligence & Compliance: Continuously synthesize market trends, regulatory barriers, geospatial data availability, data residency laws, and security compliance constraints across Global South markets to inform platform evolution.
- Workflow Mapping & Gap Analysis: Execute analytical gap analyses comparing client operational baselines against Tenchijin’s platform capabilities. Map visual end-to-end business processes (BPMN) and low-fidelity wireframes to align non-technical stakeholders with core engineering architecture.
- Agile Delivery & Backlog Stewardship: Partner with Product Management and engineering leads to refine backlogs, facilitate technical refinement sessions in Jira/Confluence, and support sprint execution across distributed development teams.
- Cross-Functional Technical Translation: Serve as the primary collaborative interface bridging in-country leads, commercial strategy teams, and deep-tech engineering groups (GeoAI, Remote Sensing pipelines, Cloud Architecture, and Data Science).
- Validation & Value Demonstration: Scrutinize technical deliverables against original multi-domain business logic to ensure platform features solve target market vulnerabilities such as grid downtime, crop yield risk, and data sovereignty requirements.
[ WHAT WE OFFER ]
必須スキル
- Advanced Business Analysis & Agile Experience: 5+ years authoring BRDs, PRDs, user stories, and gap analyses within Agile/Scrum environments using industry-standard tooling (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Linear).
- Technical & Geospatial Proficiency: Solid foundation in Computer Science, Data Science, Aerospace Engineering, GIS, or Remote Sensing. Hands-on experience working with spatial data formats (GeoJSON, vector/raster layers), querying spatial databases (SQL, PostGIS), inspecting API contracts (REST, OGC standards), or using GIS tools (QGIS/ArcGIS).
- Process Visualization & Prototyping: Demonstrated capability in mapping complex user workflows and system interactions using visual tools (e.g., Miro, Lucidchart, Figma, BPMN).
- Cross-Border Infrastructure Domain Expertise: Proven background in cross-border engineering teams or international technical initiatives, with exposure to heavy infrastructure, energy networks, large-scale agriculture, defense logistics, or public sector procurement.
- Analytical Scaffolding: Exceptional logical structuring capability to translate noisy, unstructured client feedback into prioritized, actionable technical specifications.
- Language Proficiency: Superior professional working proficiency in written and spoken English for all technical specifications and cross-border team communications.
歓迎スキル
- Direct experience engineering or managing products that leverage space-derived insights, multi-spectral satellite data pipelines, or GeoAI analytics across multiple verticals simultaneously.
- Familiarity with municipal asset management workflows, SCADA integrations, crop monitoring models, grid reliability metrics, or defense-grade geospatial intelligence systems.
- Familiarity with public sector procurement processes, RFP/RFI technical responses, or enterprise security and governance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, sovereign cloud requirements).
- Previous success deploying multi-tenant SaaS platforms or scalable AI models inside conservative, highly regulated legacy enterprise or government environments.
