About the Role
Spider Labs is experiencing rapid growth as a SaaS company providing fraud prevention AI. Along with this growth, the importance of "governance to drive the business forward safely and at maximum speed"—covering contracts/transactions, data privacy, and regulatory compliance associated with AI feature expansion—is increasing rapidly.
In this position, you will cross-functionally handle first-line contract and transaction reviews, privacy/compliance operations, AI governance, and even requirement definition for our stock option (SO) programs. We expect you to bring these multiple areas together from a "business enablement" perspective, handling not only daily decision-making but also designing the workflows and operations (systematization) to make them highly efficient.

Employment Terms & Benefits
Employment Type: Full-time (3-month probationary period)
Working Hours: Full-time (5 days a week)
Location: Hybrid/Mainly Remote (Expected to work from the office approx. 40% of the time, or about 2 days a week; remote work available for the remaining days)

About the Team & Structure
Strategies and policies are determined by the Head of Administration. In this position, you will be responsible for execution, operation, maintenance, and day-to-day first-line decisions within that scope. For complex issues where judgment is difficult, you will collaborate with the internal lead, external legal counsels, and specialists, meaning you won't have to carry the burden alone.

- Ability to review contracts and transaction documents end-to-end.
- Ability to identify key issues (transaction terms, data privacy, IP, etc.) and make sound business judgments.
- Business-level English (capable of reading/understanding English contracts and communicating with internal/external stakeholders in English).
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate smoothly with internal/external stakeholders and explain complex points clearly.
- High attention to detail, with the ability to advance tasks accurately, steadily, and without oversight.
- Comfortable working with Slack, Notion, Google Workspace, and various SaaS tools.
* You do not need to have a career focused solely on legal affairs. We highly welcome candidates with a track record of managing multi-task environments in business planning, corporate planning, operations, or back-office roles.

- Practical experience in multiple areas such as business planning, corporate planning, finance, procurement, or project management.
- Basic understanding and practical experience in data privacy (Act on the Protection of Personal Information, GDPR, APPI, etc.) and intellectual property.
- Hands-on experience in contract and transaction-related operations in IT, SaaS, or startup environments.
- Experience reviewing NDAs, service agreements, terms of use, and personal data-related documents (both Japanese and English).
- Experience in setting up contract ledgers, workflows, FAQs, SOPs, or designing business processes.
- Experience using generative AI on a daily basis to audit, automate, and systematize workflows.
