KabuK Style is a travel tech company that provides the travel wallet service "HafH" with the mission of "Creating infrastructure for a society that embraces diverse values as they are."
As the first step toward building this world-changing infrastructure, we launched HafH in April 2019.
Currently, we have partnered with over 10,000 accommodation facilities across 130 countries and regions, with more than 120,000 members using our service.
We continue to expand as a platform that supports diverse lifestyles while revolutionizing the travel and hospitality industry, making travel easier, more convenient, and more affordable.
We are looking for a QA Lead to help us build a world-class quality engineering function from the ground up.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building systems, defining standards, and shaping how quality is embedded into the development process of a rapidly growing platform.

<The Role>
As the QA Lead, you will play a foundational role in shaping how quality is built into the platform from day one.
This role is designed to evolve over time:
- Initial Phase (0 → 6–12 months):
You will operate as a hands-on individual contributor and quality strategist, defining testing standards, establishing frameworks, and working closely with engineering teams to embed quality into the development lifecycle.
- Growth Phase (12+ months):
As the platform and team scale, you will build and lead a QA function, hiring and mentoring a small team (2–3 QA Engineers) and transitioning from direct execution to oversight, guidance, and quality governance.
In the early stage, the scope will be intentionally broad, covering multiple areas of quality engineering. Over time, responsibilities will be distributed across the QA team, with you focusing on strategy, architecture, and leadership.
You are not expected to be a deep specialist in every domain (e.g., automation, performance, security), but you should have strong working experience across these areas and be comfortable setting direction, making trade-offs, and guiding others.
You will report directly to the Head of Platform and work closely with engineering and product teams to ensure the platform is reliable, scalable, and production-ready.

<Responsibilities>
- Build the QA Function
- Design and implement the overall QA strategy for the platform
- Establish testing standards, processes, and documentation
- Introduce quality practices across the engineering lifecycle
- Test Automation & Tooling
- Design and implement automated testing frameworks
- Define testing strategies for:
- API testing
- integration testing
- regression testing
- UI testing
- Evaluate and select appropriate testing tools and frameworks
- CI/CD and Quality Gates
- Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Define release quality gates and automated checks
- Improve deployment reliability and release confidence
- Platform Reliability
Work closely with engineering to validate:
- distributed systems
- microservices architecture
- external API integrations
- pricing and booking systems
- high-volume data pipelines
- Performance & Security Testing
Lead testing initiatives for:
- load and stress testing
- performance optimization
- resilience testing
- security and vulnerability validation
- Leadership & Hiring
- Help recruit and mentor QA engineers as the team grows
- Build a QA team of 2–3 engineers over the next 24 months
- Provide technical guidance and establish best practices
- Work cross-functionally with product managers and engineers

Experience
- 6–10+ years in QA or quality engineering
- Experience designing automation frameworks
- Experience testing APIs and distributed system
- Experience integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Conversational/Business Level English is required
Leadership
- Experience leading QA initiatives or teams
- Comfortable establishing processes from scratch
- Ability to guide engineers and influence quality culture
Technical Mindset
- Strong understanding of software architecture and testing strategies
- Experience working closely with engineering and product teams
