■Summary
Interstellar Technologies (IST), a dynamic Japanese start-up, envisions a future where space becomes accessible to all through low-cost and convenient space transportation services. With the headquarters placed in Taiki, Hokkaido, IST's product development spans four locations: the Tokyo branch, Fukushima branch, and a laboratory at the Muroran Institute of Technology.
IST has achieved three successful flights into space using the suborbital launch vehicle MOMO, establishing it as the first and only Japanese private company to reach outer space. Fueling its ambition, IST is currently engaged in the full-scale development of small satellite launch vehicle ZERO.
The Business Development Department at IST is responsible for reaching targeted sales figures to sell launch services provided by ZERO to global customers including satellite operators and manufacturers, space agencies, governments, and startups.
Sales Engineer will contribute to entire sales activities by leveraging technical expertise and knowledge.
■Your tasks
・Lead the end-to-end sales cycle for IST orbital launch services, encompassing launch and more, from prospecting to deal closure and mission execution
・Focus on establishing and strengthening relationships with global customers, not only commercial companies but also governmental organizations such as space agencies
・Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders in the global market, collaborating closely with internal teams to develop and present competitive proposals
・Represent IST on the global stage by participating in space conferences, conducting customer visits, and engaging in advocacy efforts
・Collaborate with the Business Development Department to jointly develop and implement the sales strategy
必須スキル
・Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, with a focus on mechanical, aerospace, propulsion, or electronics, or Business.
・A deep passion for space and a genuine commitment to people
・Sound knowledge of space applications and services
・Fluent in both oral and written English
・Willing to learn Japanese language
