Mond Platforms is looking for our Founding Chief of Staff (Employee #1) to build our US footprint from scratch.

Mond is creating a new category: Q&A-Centered Creator Monetization.
If Patreon monetizes memberships and Substack monetizes newsletters, Mond monetizes conversation.
In Japan, we have achieved product-market fit and a validated monetization model. Now, we are rebuilding Mond for the US market—rethinking the entire experience for US culture.

# The Role
You are the Architect of Operations. As Employee #1, you will execute the launch of our US business.
<What You'll Do>
- Launch the US HQ: We have secured our Palo Alto office (opening May 2026). You will manage the operational setup—design, IT, vendors, and office culture—to ensure a seamless launch.
- Build the "Machine": Establish US payroll, HR, and benefits infrastructure (via PEO) and finance workflows from scratch before the team scales.
- Founding Team Hiring: Source and close the first 10–15 US hires, defining the "Mond US" culture from Day 1.
- Executive Proxy: Act as the cultural and operational interface between the US entity and Japan HQ, aligning speed and resources.
# Growth Path
This role is designed to evolve. As the team scales, you will have the path to grow into VP of Operations, General Manager (US), or Head of Product Strategy.

- Bilingual Excellence: Native-level English + Business-level Japanese.
- 0→1 Builder: Proven ability to build operational foundations (HR, Legal, Finance setup) without a playbook.
- Operational Grit: 5+ years of experience, including 2+ years in CoS, Ops, BizOps, or early-stage founder roles.
- Location: Must reside in the SF Bay Area.
