仕事概要
The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and skilled professional to join Faeger as our first local team member in Thailand. This is a unique opportunity to play a foundational role in a pioneering project that aims to achieve a significant breakthrough in both increasing agricultural productivity and advancing climate change mitigation and adaptation within Thailand's rice sector.
As the core local member of our Thailand operations, you will be at the forefront of transforming sustainable agriculture. Faeger Co., Ltd. is a Japanese startup driving innovation in agricultural carbon credits across Southeast Asia, with active projects in the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand. This position is central to Faeger's Thailand expansion and will involve implementing the Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD) methodology under internationally recognized carbon crediting frameworks, including Japan's Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) and potentially CORSIA (Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation).
Professional Growth & Benefits
By joining this project, you will gain:
•Experience in a Fast-Paced Startup: Be deeply involved in the regional expansion of a dynamic Japanese startup, working at the speed of innovation and contributing directly to business development decisions.
•Expertise in Agriculture & Carbon Finance: Build specialized knowledge in AWD rice cultivation, methane emission reduction, and carbon credit mechanisms under frameworks such as JCM and CORSIA — a rapidly growing field in climate finance.
•Collaboration with Global Professionals: Work alongside Faeger team members who bring diverse backgrounds from the United Nations (UN), JICA, and other international organizations.
•Global Career Pathways: Gain high-level experience and networking opportunities that open doors to future careers in sustainability, climate finance, and international development across Southeast Asia and beyond.

The Project Officer will take a lead role in the following responsibilities:
1. AWD Monitoring & Field Data Collection
•Oversee technical monitoring activities on the ground, ensuring accurate and timely data collection for methane emission reduction verification.
•Manage piezometer tube installation, water level recording, and field observation logs in accordance with applicable methodology requirements (JCM and/or CORSIA-eligible standards).
•Coordinate with local farmers and field assistants to ensure data quality and completeness.
2. Farmer Training & Capacity Building
•Design and facilitate training sessions for local farmers to ensure proper understanding and implementation of AWD techniques.
•Develop farmer-facing materials in Thai language, tailored to the local agronomic and cultural context.
•Monitor farmer adoption and provide on-the-ground support during the growing season.
3. Stakeholder Coordination

4. Project Administration
•Prepare official documentation, meeting minutes, and progress reports in both Thai and English.
