This role is focused on managing the technical aspects, including engineering strategy, standard creation, architecture, and policy. The Director of Engineering will oversee the technical leadership and technical management of engineering teams. What you will be doing: * Lead the engineering strategy for the organization to ensure technological growth and innovation. * Maintain and enforce engineering and performance standards across teams. * Ensure alignment among engineering teams and between engineering teams and company goals. * Guide large-scale architectural decisions and consult on smaller-scale implementation choices. * Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of engineering efforts with company-wide objectives. * Strong technical skills with a broad toolkit, demonstrating proficiency in various programming languages, frameworks, and tools * Ability to create and maintain an engineering strategy that balances technological needs with business goals * Efficient communication skills, both written and spoken * Demonstrated ability to see through large, complex projects from inception to completion * Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of guiding and inspiring engineering teams

* Direct experience with audio or other relevant experience to our industry * Ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders * Native-level Japanese fluency to communicate with partners or customers * Experience designing or maintaining an engineering strategy
