JOB DESCRIPTION
Zeroboard Inc. is dedicated to supporting Japanese companies in achieving their ESG goals through innovative technology solutions. As a Lead Full Stack Engineer at Zeroboard Inc., you’ll be responsible for steering the development of our core ESG platforms. You’ll work closely with business, product, and customer success teams to drive product improvements, while also guiding and mentoring engineers to ensure high standards and a healthy team culture. This is a great opportunity to shape both our technical architecture and how our team grows and collaborates. - Lead the technical design, architecture, and implementation of major system components across the full stack - Take ownership of sprints, facilitating planning, reviews, and ensuring alignment on priorities and outcomes - Work closely with business, product, and customer success teams to understand needs and make decisions that improve the product - Provide 1-on-1 mentorship to engineers, helping them grow technically and professionally - Handle conflicts constructively, maintaining a positive and collaborative team environment - Guide and participate in knowledge-sharing sessions, pair-coding, and technical discussions - Establish and uphold best practices around code quality, testing, deployment, and system reliability - Move comfortably between different programming languages and frameworks, learning new technologies as needed to achieve team goals

QUALIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL CLIETERIA
- Minimum of 7 years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years working as a Full Stack Engineer - Strong and solid expertise in at least one backend language (Python or similar) and one frontend framework (React or similar), ideally aligned with our current tech stack - Proven ability to design and build scalable, maintainable systems - Experience with SQL databases (SQL is a must; NoSQL is a plus) - Hands-on experience with container technologies (such as Docker) and at least one cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure) - Comfortable using Git and modern CI/CD workflows - Ability to communicate effectively in English (Communication Level; Japanese is a plus) - Must be living in Japan or willing to relocate

Location: 10th Floor, Sumitomo Fudosan Tokyo Mita South Tower, 3-5-27 Mita, Minato-ku, Tokyo Note: This is a full-remote position, with expected in-office attendance about once or twice per half-year. Candidates must be residents of Japan or willing to relocate there. Our company can provide a visa. In-person attendance is not mandatory but may be requested by managers or the company. For Tokyo residents, participating in some events or meetings face-to-face might be required.
