▼Description ・Hiring Background Wellnize, Inc. was established in July 2024 from the collaboration with Meiji Co., Ltd., a leading company in food and health, and a digital solutions provider. Meiji brings exceptional business assets to this partnership, including: ・Cutting-edge knowledge in the fields of food and healthcare ・Technology to produce delicious, safe, and health-conscious food products ・A robust logistics ecosystem that ensures nationwide distribution to retailors ・A comprehensive range of products and services to all life stages for people At Wellnize, Inc., we aim to create entirely new value by integrating these business assets with digital technology to improve the health and well-being of people. To support this mission, we are looking to expand our engineering team, structured with a candidate for Engineering Manager (EM) leading 5-7 full-stack engineers. We are searching for someone who can perform at the same high standard as our current EMs. ▼Business Overview We are committed to expanding the value we provide across all life stages. Meiji offers products for everyone, from infants to services and products for elderly. We are now redefining the value of these individual offerings by developing new services that transcend product categories and enhance the quality of life for people at every stage. It will be a challenging, fast-paced environment that requires a passion for business development. ▼Challenges of the Role ・Market Environment: While leveraging the trusted Meiji brand, you will need to implement new value propositions with the agility of a startup. ・Unique Factors: Build optimal cross-brand collaboration from the ground up. Hypothesize and accelerate development to maximize value. Manage and integrate multiple vendors/partner companies efficiently. ▼Team Structure CTO (International) Tech Lead (International) Full-Stack Engineers: 10 (6 contractors) ▼Responsibilities ・Conduct regular 1-on-1s with the engineering team, identify and resolve project bottlenecks, provide guidance and feedback. ・Develop Sprint plans, considering team constraints (resources and quality). ・Translate business requirements into clear product requirements and prioritize among requirement aligning with business strategy Improve engineering organization and establish effective evaluation metrics. *You won’t be responsible for everything. Instead, you’ll focus on your strengths while collaborating with other team members (CTO, EM) to implement solutions. ▼Tech Stack Back-End: NodeJS, TypeScript, ExpressJS, MongoDB Front-End: TypeScript, React, Vite, Tailwind CSS, Material UI Infrastructure: AWS, CloudFormation, Docker Tools: GitHub, Slack, Notion, Figma, Shopify
