As we scale production sites and expand globally, we are strengthening our corporate foundation by upgrading information systems and protecting the company’s confidential information and know‑how. 【Role Summary】 This role will build and lead our internal finance and accounting function. You will establish core processes across bookkeeping, cost accounting, closing, financial reporting, and audit preparation, while driving the transition from external to in-house operations. The position also partners closely with management on budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and government grant-related tasks. It is a hands-on role suited for someone who can build processes from scratch in a fast-paced startup environment. 【 Key Responsibilities】 • Establish and lead the internal finance & accounting function • Implement proper cost accounting processes (currently immature due to early-stage operations) • Migrate bookkeeping from an external tax accountant to internal operations • Lead preparation for financial audits and develop audit-ready processes • Select and implement accounting systems and related tools • Manage monthly/annual closing, financial statements, and internal controls • Handle government grant applications and related reporting • Collaborate closely with management to support budgeting, forecasting, and cash management

【Required Qualifications】 • Practical, hands-on accounting experience • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles (e.g., Japanese Bookkeeping Certification or equivalent) • CPA qualification or experience working with CPAs in an audit or accounting environment • Experience in cost accounting or manufacturing accounting is a plus • Experience setting up finance & accounting functions in a startup is highly welcomed • Ability to work independently and build processes from scratch • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, resource-limited startup environment <Language> ・Japanese: Business level ・English: Business-level reading/writing; comfortable working with overseas vendors and sites
