Internship (Software Engineers)

We are looking for interns (software engineers) who are interested in digitizing a wide range of industries served by Mitsubishi Corporation! [About MC Digital] MC Digital is a technology company founded in September 2019 with an investment from Mitsubishi Corporation. In addition to the provision of services to the Mitsubishi Corporation Group companies, we are working to develop new services and products that can be extended to companies outside the Group. Our work covers a wide range of industries served by Mitsubishi Corporation and therefore this is an environment where you can take on a wide variety of challenges. The following are the specific tasks a software engineer will perform: ･Developing products to provide machine learning and mathematical optimization techniques, and creating optimization algorithms ･Selecting technology based on the application requirements and designing cloud architectures The mission of software engineers is to solve customers’ issues by converting machine learning and mathematical optimization technologies into products and systems for practical use. In this position, you will be able to be involved in software development in a wide variety of fields, including prototyping in response to customer issues, building data platforms and developing business applications with the assumption that they will be offered in a production environment, and SaaS development. [Job Description] Examples of the tasks that interns will engage in include the following: ･Front-end development ･Implementing UIs and a variety of tests using Typescript ･Examining UX and performance improvements ･Implementing CI/CD ･Back-end development *The project or section to which interns are assigned is adjusted and determined based on their experience and preferences.

[Required Skills] ･Experience in working part-time or as an intern at a development company ･Experience in one or more of the following is required: ･Development of APIs using languages such as Python and Go ･Front-end development using Typescript, React, Next.js, and other languages ･Designing and operating infrastructure using AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, and other applications ･ML modeling and data pipeline building ･Applying optimization algorithms to business ･Must be available to work a minimum of 16 hours per week during the internship period ･We expect the internship period to be 1 to 2 months. Preferred Skills ･Experience in team development ･Experience in system development using cloud services, such as AWS and GCP ･Experience in contribution to OSS ･Knowledge on machine learning and mathematical optimization techniques ･Experience in participating in competitions such as AtCoder and Kaggle
