Junior Data Scientist

■Mission Support Kabuk Style in becoming a more data-driven company. ■Expectations As a junior data scientist, your responsibilities will include: * Maintaining and creating KPI dashboards. * Ensuring the accuracy and reliability of business data. * Maintaining and enhancing our data pipelines, built with dbt and Google Cloud. * Extracting data for other team members, primarily using SQL. * Conducting predictive and descriptive data analysis on our customer and inventory data, primarily using Python. * Training and evaluating machine learning models. * Tuning and evaluating large language models. ■Required Skills and Qualifications We expect you to have workable skills in data analysis, machine learning and software engineering: * Experience with the Python data analysis ecosystem: Pandas, Scikit-learn, Matpotlib, Plotnine, etc. (equivalent experience in other environments such as R or Julia is also acceptable) * Knowledge of basic machine learning techniques: Clustering, regression, dimensionality reduction, classification. * Familiarity with database fundamentals: Basic SQL queries, indexes, and database design trade-offs. * Experience with machine learning or deep learning for natural language processing * Experience writing and maintaining software of 2,000+ lines of code. * Business-level communication in either Japanese or English. * Enthusiasm for startup culture. * Demonstrate the ability to work independently in a remote environment

■Welcomed Skills and Qualifications * Computer science degree. * 1+ years of professional experience as a data analyst or data scientist. * 1+ years of professional experience as a software engineer. * Basic proficiency in both Japanese and English. * Residency in Japan. * Experience with version control and task management * Experience with Google Cloud * Experience writing long (100+ lines) SQL queries. * Experience with remote work. * Interest in software engineering principles: Language design, design patterns, and cloud infrastructure. * Interest in business and marketing.
