1： In the field of autonomous driving or robotics in general the applicant must have extensive experience of one or more of the following:
・Perception: camera, LiDAR or RADAR sensing, filtering, processing and sensor fusion; object detection, multi-object tracking,
・Localization/Mapping: SLAM or Bayesian filtering based localization
・Planning: route planning, high level behavior planning, trajectory planning
・Control: vehicle motion control, optimal control theory, robust control, system identification
2： Proficiency in programming with one or more of
・C++, ROS/ROS2, Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Jupyter, Matlab
3： Language proficiency:
・Research working language is English: applicants should be proficient in reading, writing and speaking in English on technical topics.
・Researchers work closely with the development team, therefore the ability to discuss technical matters in Japanese is highly regarded.
・PhD degree in a related field
・Strong publication record in relevant disciplines OR demonstrable industrial research experience proposing and delivering novel contributions (please include a list of selected publications highlighting high impact works, academic awards, or equivalent industrial research achievements)
・Demonstrated theoretical and working knowledge of relevant algorithms and computational frameworks
