ZEN-03- SRE / Site Reliability Engineer

At LegalOn Technologies, the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team is responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our company's production systems. The SRE team currently engages with product teams via two different roles: Embedded SREs work alongside a product team on development and improvement tasks, and Dedicated SREs work on promoting the use of SRE practices and delivering a platform across the whole organization. As an SRE, you will work on either or both Embedded SRE tasks and Dedicated SRE tasks closely with product development teams across multiple products to improve development productivity and the resiliency and security of our infrastructure. # KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As an SRE, your responsibilities will include the following: ・Build and maintain tools and processes to automate the deployment, monitoring, and management of our systems. ・Design and implement alerting and monitoring systems. ・Write scripts and build automation to reduce toil. ・Collaborate with the development team to identify and address performance bottlenecks, optimize system architecture. ・Design and implement solutions to improve the reliability and scalability of our systems. This position will involve close collaboration and communication with the following: ・Product development teams responsible for customer-facing features of LegalForce, LegalForce Cabinet, and the Global (US) product. ・Development teams responsible for natural language processing, full-text search, and review services internally within the product. ・Research development teams responsible for machine intelligence and annotation features.

・1+ years of experience as a software engineer or SRE. ・Experience administering Linux and/or Linux container-based systems (e.g. Docker, LXC). ・Experience with a public cloud service: AWS, GCP, or Azure. ・Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible. ・Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana). ・Experience programming in a scripting language (e.g. Python, Bash) ・Ability to communicate in Japanese on a daily basis (JLPT N2 or compatible experience). ・BS, MS, or Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science, Mathematics, or other technology-related majors. ・Experience with IAM and organization administration of public cloud services: AWS, GCP, or Azure. ・Experience administering or developing with container orchestration services such as Kubernetes, AWS ECS. ・Experience building machine learning infrastructure and pipelines. ・Experience with operating search engines such as Elasticsearch or Solr. ・Experience with incident handling of system failures such as high server loads and low database throughput. ・Experience implementing SRE concepts such as error budgeting and post-mortem. ・Experience speaking at a conference or public events. ・Knowledge of the challenges supporting large-scale distributed systems such as scalability, fault tolerance, and consistency. ・Contributed to or experience as a maintainer of an Open Source Software (OSS) project.
